Terms and conditions

Version of 26 September 2026

These terms apply to all Clé Nette services. By booking, you accept them. The business that operates Clé Nette is named in the legal notice. This is a translation: if the French and English versions differ, the French version prevails.

1. Services

End-of-tenancy cleaning with a handover guarantee, home cleaning, office cleaning, windows and clearance, within our area (La Neuveville, Le Landeron, Neuchâtel and the lakeside, Biel/Bienne and the Seeland, Murten/Morat and the Vully).

The end-of-tenancy cleaning covers what is described on the website ("What's included"). Not included: painting, filling holes, repairs, furniture clearance (unless ordered as an option) and old permanent damage (burns, baked-on limescale, permanent stains).

We work Monday to Saturday, with no Saturday surcharge. No work on Sundays or public holidays.

2. Prices

The end-of-tenancy cleaning price is a fixed price, calculated on the website from the size of the flat and the options chosen. It includes products and equipment.

Booking at least 21 days before the job: −5%. Job less than 7 days away: +10%.

The fixed price assumes an empty flat in normal condition, matching what you told us. If, when we arrive, we find rooms or extra spaces you did not mention, or exceptional dirt (very dirty flat, traces of smoke or animals, very thick limescale, objects or rubbish left behind), we tell you before we start, with the surcharge: undeclared rooms at the website rate, extra work at CHF 48 per hour per person. You accept or refuse this surcharge before work begins; we never charge a surcharge announced afterwards.

Home cleaning: CHF 43 per hour, at least 3 hours per visit. Offices, windows and clearance: as per the written quote.

Clé Nette is not registered for VAT; the prices shown are final prices.

3. Booking

Your request on the website is not yet a booking. The contract is concluded when we confirm the date to you by email or in writing. The confirmed price is the one shown when you made your request.

You give us the information we need: address, size of the flat, options, and the date and time of the handover inspection if you want us to attend.

4. Access to the flat

On the day of the job, the flat must be accessible at the agreed time, emptied of furniture and personal belongings (unless the clearance option was ordered), with water and electricity working and lighting available.

You or the property manager can give us the keys. We keep them safely and return them to the agreed person, at the latest at the handover inspection.

If we cannot work because the flat is not accessible or not emptied, this counts as a last-minute cancellation (section 5).

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 48 hours before the planned start of the job.

Less than 48 hours before, or if the flat is not accessible on the day: 50% of the agreed price is due.

If we have to cancel (illness, force majeure), we let you know as soon as possible and offer a new date; you pay nothing for the cancelled job.

6. Handover guarantee

If the property manager or landlord asks for a touch-up on the cleaning at the handover inspection, we do it on the spot if we are there, otherwise we come back free of charge before the final handover.

The guarantee covers only the cleaning we carried out. It does not cover damage, wear, repairs or items not included (section 1).

To benefit from it, the touch-up must be reported to us no later than the day of the handover inspection (ideally with the inspection report or photos), and the inspection must take place within 5 days of our job. We must be able to access the flat for the touch-up.

If the flat is used or dirtied again between our job and the inspection, the guarantee does not apply to the areas concerned.

7. Payment

End-of-tenancy cleaning: you pay once the handover inspection has accepted the cleaning, on the spot by TWINT or by QR bill. If paying on the spot is not possible, the bill is payable within 5 days.

If the handover inspection takes place more than 5 days after our job, or if we do not attend it, payment is due 5 days after the job, subject to a touch-up reported under section 6.

No deposit is required for flats up to 5.5 rooms. For large flats, houses and clearance, a deposit may be agreed in the quote.

Home and office cleaning: monthly invoice, payable within 10 days.

If payment is late, we send a reminder; a reminder fee of CHF 20 may be charged from the second reminder.

8. Liability

We work with care and are liable for damage we cause through our fault, in accordance with Swiss law. Please report any damage to us in writing within 5 days of the job, with photos if possible.

We are not liable for damage due to wear, pre-existing defects or materials unsuitable for normal cleaning, nor for valuables left in the flat.

Liability for indirect damage (for example a handover delayed for reasons other than the cleaning) is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

9. Personal data

We process your data only to organise and invoice the service. Details are in the data protection section.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is La Neuveville (canton of Bern), subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction under the law, in particular for consumers.

We may change these terms; the version in force when your booking is confirmed applies.
